Making an Exoneree
Started in 2018 by Marc Howard and Marty Tankleff, this Georgetown class gives undergraduate students the unique ability to work on a live wrongful conviction case and advocate for someone’s exoneration. Marc Howard is both a professor and lawyer who has dedicated his career to prison justice reform and education. As an exoneree himself, Marty Tankleff understands the nuances of incarceration and exoneration from personal experience, and has also dedicated his career as a lawyer to bring justice to other victims of wrongful convictions.
